I live on the tiny five square mile island of Saba, in the Caribbean. It is located 30 miles southwest of Sint Maarten, in the Dutch West Indies. My husband, David, is attending Medical School at Saba University School of Medicine. We will live on this beautiful island until April, when we move back to the States for Cinical Rotations. I would say where we are moving, but I have no idea where that will be.
David and I have been married for 10 years. We have lived in Utah, Arizona, and Texas. We lived as D.I.N.K’S (double income no kids) for far too long. After nine years of waiting, and nine months of incubating, Hannah Sophia Lesher finally made her debut! My current full time job is very different from my previous careers. Hannah gets ALL of my time, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She is my live doll, who lets me dress her, feed her, play with her, read to her, and of course take her places. She is the light of David’s and my life. We often ask Hannah, “What took you SO LONG?”
In my previous life, (the one where I wasn’t a mom and I DIDN’T live in paradise.) David and I owned a Bridal Store. We worked together, and lived together. We saw a lot of each other. With all this time spent together, it’s amazing that we didn’t have more kids, (or, you know, ONE kid at least) or kill each other. I also worked as a professional model at Dallas Market Center for the Gene Showroom. I met fantastic people, modeled in fashions shows for Good Morning Texas, and scored great swag every now and again. I have traveled to China several times, working as a fit model for prom/wedding gowns. I have also managed the following stores: The Gap, Victoria’s Secret, The Limited, and of course, American Bridal & Formal. I have produced hundreds of Prom/Wedding fashion shows in Utah, Arizona, Texas, and Washington. I reigned as Mrs. Dallas in 2005, and was First-Runner Up to Mrs. Texas in the state pageant. This is my former life, which is oh, so very different from my current life . . .
