I need your help. REALLY.
You know how some people think their dogs are really cute, but really, their dogs are only cute to them?
This is why I need your opinion on some of my images for an upcoming art show at the Academy of Art. The images below are all qualifying images for the show (so if you have another favorite image that isn’t posted, just know that it probably doesn’t qualify for this show). I’m asking you to look a the images below and tell me your THREE favorites. I mean, I hope you like at least three of them. . .
I’m trying to narrow down the images I would like to submit (I can only submit three, so you get the point) for the Spring Art Show at the Academy of Art University (which would be fantastic exposure for me since industry professionals, artists, potential clients, gallery representatives, and the general public all attend in high numbers) next month.
Here’s the deal . . . you tell me your opinion (which images you like the best) by leaving a comment on this post and you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of my prints!
I’m giving away an 8×10 of this print of the Sacred Grove, in Manchester, NY. It is one of my favorites, and is more beautiful as a hard copy than it is as a JPEG. :)

My votes: 9, 7, 6
I have loved that full moon shot ever since I first saw it.
The Alley / “Fear” just moves me for some reason
& #7 – yeah, loved that one from the beginning too.
I think they also will give you a variety of styles within the category (whatever that is)
My votes would be for #3, 4, 9.

my votes are #1, #4, #10 and #11. Sorry I couldn’t narrow it down to three. All are fantastic though!
#1 ~ I love the lighting in this one. It feels as though it is trying to tell you a story about what is going on there in the cold and dark by the contrast of the bright lights.
#4 ~ I again love the light of the sun in this but it feels patriotic to me. It inspires a sense of wanting to hold onto a feeling or a time. Nostalgic, I guess.
#5 ~ I love the emotion of this picture. It says a lot about life that seems important to me. How life goes fast with the image of the moving carousel and how we want to hold onto the innocence as our children as we watch it go. It’s just stirring to me.
A close personal 4th is #9 because I love that temple and I love the moon. but you’ve heard me say that before.

I love them all. My personal favorites are 2, 8 and 9

They are all so wonderful. I like the uniqueness of 4 and 5. and 10 in just so pretty
2,5 and 6. The emptiness and loneliness that you see in 6 is disproportionate to your experience photographing there. I think the kids used to play there while you photographed and they loved it if I remember correctly. Just goes to show you how different everyone’s perspective is when looking at a photograph. Also I love 5 because I immediately think about how quickly life passes by and our children grow up.

Loved all of these Emily but my favorites are
11- because my wife is hot and my son is a stud! (This is actually my favorite from the pictures you took of us.)

These are all so good, but my favorites are:
4- because of the unique angle
9- dark, but focal point stands out beautifully
10- pos/neg contrasts are well balanced, with the temple as the focal point ( I really admire this piece)
