Salt Lake City at Night November 11, 2009

Posted by Emily in : Photography, Utah , add a comment

The other night I was driving home from Salt Lake City and missed my southbound exit (I may have had something on my mind . . .) and wound up in downtown SLC.

For those of you who are familiar with the 600 South exit off I-15, you know that you actually have to drive through part of downtown to get back onto another one-way street (500 South to be exact) to re-enter the freeway going southbound.

How often do you find yourself “accidentally” downtown SLC at night, all alone, (husband is in North Carolina, kids were home sleeping at grandma’s) on a reasonably warm November night,  with your camera?

Not often?

Me neither.

That’s why I had to jump out and take some pics.

This particular street leads up to the State Capitol building.

Of course, I wanted to get a night shot of that too . . .

You never know when I’ll be “accidentally” following my nose around SLC at night again.
