Swimming in Photoshop November 9, 2009

My Photoshop class consumes a lot of my free time.  Whoever decided it was a 3 credit hour class at AAU must have been smoking hoochie because it’s more like a 12 credit hour class.

I miss some fun times with my kids in this beautiful weather because I’m glued to my monitor trying to save Alpha Channels.

It’s not right I tell you.

My mother-in-law had to pry me away from my computer the other day to see my daughter outside.

By the look on her face, I knew it was going to be cute, so I brought my camera.

This is how I found Hannah.

A regular three year old kid, playing in the leaves that she helped rake into a pile.

Is jumping in leaves instinctive?  I know I didn’t teach her this with most of my free time tied up with my classes.

So adorable.

So carefree.

Maybe I should get out a little more and find my carefree side again.

Drowning in Photoshop info over here . . .

(P.S.  People who advertise classes like, “Learn Photoshop in One Day!” are crazy.  You seriously can’t even tap the tip of the Photoshop iceberg in eight hours.  You might pay anywhere from $100-$900 for a one or two day class, and all you’ll do is come home totally overwhelmed with info.  It’s impossible to retain everything, or even some things the program has to offer in eight hours.  I started this Photoshop class as a moderate user and still find my head swimming.  Bottom line: Pick up a manual and learn it or take it from a University if you really want to learn the program.  Save your money on those little seminars.)
