True Love July 21, 2009

As many of you know, we just celebrated out 12th wedding anniversary.

David come home from a long day at the hospital with these lovelies:

I’m such a practical girl, I never ask for flowers (or anything that requires any kind of maintenance) but I really loved them.

I was certainly surprised.

He listened to me talk about all the things stressing me out.

Like my projects, keeping the house clean, my patience running thin, and not having enough hours in the day.

I had to shoot a “creative image” depicting “This is the End.”

I had a crazy idea.

I wanted him to hold a sign at a busy freeway off ramp.

I asked him to be a panhandler for a minute or two.

Because wouldn’t it really be “the end” if doctors had to turn to panhandling?

I’m not sure I would do this if someone asked me, but David is nicer than I am.

And you know what?  He didn’t even hesitate.

I’m pretty sure this wasn’t what he had in mind to do on the evening of our 12th anniversary, but he’ll do anything to clear my mind and lessen my stress.

Our 12th anniversary was memorable to say the least.

Nothing says “I love you” like your spouse agreeing to a crazy request!

I LOVE yellow roses. Seems like the perfect gift for an adopted Texas girl.

BTW, thanks for the update in your blog comment yesterday. I’ve often wondered how Janet is doing and I’m so relieved to know that her life is good and that things have improved with her husband. I went to Dr. Freestone for James and when he was almost two, Dr. Freestone was out and we had to see Doug who missed a diagnosis of spinal meningitis. I dragged James back the next day and Dr. Freestone figured it out in about two minutes. I’ve had a hard time letting go of that grudge, but somehow knowing that he has changed and is good to Janet makes it easier.

What an AWESOME Couple you two are. As your neighbor let me say what a joy it is to have you next door to us. The love that I can see surrounding your whole family is amazing. Hannah and Dallin are lucky to have you as parents. Congratulations on your 12th Anniversary – I know you will have many many more years to celebrate!
