Knitting Bug May 25, 2009
Posted by Emily in : Kansas, Projects , trackbackEveryone knits in Kansas.
Everyone.
Everywhere.
Anywhere.
Once, while David was driving, he called to tell me he saw a bumper sticker that said, “I’d rather be knitting.”
I decided to see what all the fuss was about.
I purchased some knitting looms, yarn, and went to town.

When the hats turned out so cute . . .

I made a few.

And by a few, I mean a lot.
Having a baby? Just had a baby? Thinking of having a baby?
You know what you’re getting from me.

So cute, Em. I have always wanted to learn to knit. Good job. I am so glad you are embracing your new home and learning their ways! What a life you have had – so many different life styles. I think that’s great.
You did a great job! I’ve never knitted anything in my life, and frankly, have no desire to. It scares me!
Ah-ha! You DO have a crafting gene; it was just hidden deeply.
The hats look great. That is something I have never tried. Crocheting, yes. Knitting, no. Maybe someday. When I get all these clothes made that I’ve got the materials for.
Im totally impressed! I cant seem to figure out how to coordinate my fabrics for the quilts im trying to make let alone take up knitting!
I am so impressed Emily! You have the sweetest little models for your creative work and little Dallin is perfect for the part. I think I would like to learn how to do it too. Since I have to spend time with my leg up, it would give me something worthwhile to do. I tried knitting when I was younger but decided it was easier to crochet. Maybe I will try it again because your example has inspired me.
Oh how I would love to hug your little guy and sweet little Hannah.
I love the hats! I am very impressed you whipped so many up so quickly, but what else should I expect?!??! The pictures are fab too!
