Lash Extensions, are They Worth it? May 13, 2009

Posted by Emily in : Daily Life, Princess Hannah , trackback

Last week I talked about my future eyelash extension splurge.

I am rethinking that . . .

These lashes are real.

They are a real pain too.

Everyday, (and I mean everyday) one of these beautiful lashes goes rogue.  They fall out and position themselves into the most precarious spots on Hannah’s eye.

(I think I just gave her naughty eyelashes a personality.)

These long lashes make my little one cry sometimes.

That makes me sad.

Now I’m contemplating whether or not I should go to all the trouble to get extensions if they’re just going to fall out and poke me in the eye.

It is worth the trouble?

I’ll think about this over the next 20 years.  I won’t be able to afford them before that.

I have been following your blog for quite some time now!! It’s really good you cant afford them. My best friend had those and you are not allowed to wash your face under the shower, you cant rug your eyes, it’s a pain to remove makeup etc… They come out pretty fast if you do any of those things and then they also rip out yur real eye lashes!! :(

I hope you guys have a great second half of the week!!
Oh I LOVE the pictures you take! I Wish I had a camera like that and I wish I knew how to edit them!!

I don’t know if they’re worth it. Seems like a lot of money for something that doesn’t last a majorly long time. Imagine if my eyebrows got together with your lashes. We would be in trouble!

:) Hmm, sounds like they’re more trouble than they’re worth. Pretty, though.

That picture of Hannah is awesome!

I took your advice on taking pictures and posted a few of the results on my blog. What do you think? My favorite of Rachel is the one second from the bottom.

I have them and love them! i would not go with out! They last me 3-4 weeks. I wash my face everyday, and in the shower. i wear make up and eyeliner and use use eye make up remover and they are fine! and i still have never gotten one in my eye. they do fall out in some weird place sometimes, or maybe i just notice them more bc they are black. i love them. They are expensive though, that is for sure! and to get the first set on it is 2 1/2 hours and fills are an hour and a half for the most past, i dont like sitting still that long :)

You could just get Latisse. It’s a new Allergan product (the makers of Botox) and it’s prescription only but it’s clinically proven to make your lashes fuller and thicker.

And, yeah, I know this because my husband is contracting for Allergan right now.

Or get extensions. Whatever works!
