The Ear Wax Cleaner Extraordinaire and Other Important Things March 5, 2009
Posted by Emily in : Daily Life, Family, Kansas, Little Man Dallin, My Handsome Husband, Princess Hannah , trackbackDid you know your clothes and dishes could get dirty just by sitting in a box, in a storage unit, minding their own business? After doing 96 loads of laundry and 87 loads of dishes, OUR STUFF IS CLEAN.
My house is livable. I wasted no time hanging pictures on the walls or putting up window treatments. I want my space to feel like it’s mine. As depressing as this sounds (and trust me, it is) we will be moving again in about 16 months.
Do you know what went through my head as I was moving into our house and finding a place for everything and putting everything in its place?
THAT ALL THIS STUFF WILL BE MOVED AGAIN. IN ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF.
On that depressing note, I rushed around putting my house together like a crazy woman, because lets face it, every day here is one day closer to moving again.
We have settled into a routine. The kids and I are enjoying our time together while David is gone from dark-thirty in the morning till night-thirty in the evening.
Paris has found a sleeping spot on all three floors.

A spot with ample sunshine.

Dallin is enjoying his new room.

And Paris’ pillow.

Hannah discovered my 30 year old Barbie dolls. She loves them so much. She has asked me more than once, “Do you think Daddy will want to play with my Barbies with me when he gets home from work?” (Um, yeah. I’m sure he’d love nothing more than to play with Barbies. Especially after a long overwhelming day of Internal Medicine at the hospital.)

There is plenty of room for Dallin to exercise . . .

and he decided to learn how to sit. Finally.

Paris is still doing a fine job as ear wax cleaner extraordinaire.

And, as you can see, we are full swing back into the routine of things. I take my job as the designated snotty nose wiper very seriously.

Wow, there really needs to be a warning for that last picture!!
so glad that you are loving the house! dont you hate moving!? I now feel the same way being at my mothers- thinking that we will be moving again in a short amount of time- and saying perhaps we should just stay forever( just so we dont have to move again!!! LOL)
kids are looking soo cute!
The last picture was funny and shocking. HA!!
You work fast in getting your house inorder. Way to go.
That last picture is AWESOME! Glad you are all moved in! I agree…you SHOULD make your space your own, even if you won’t be there all that long! Still, Dallin will be 2 when you move! When you think about it that way, it seems a lot longer (although I’m sure it will fly by)!
It is so fun to see you there in your house and actually know that I have been there. You moved in so quickly. A girl after my own heart. Your house is adorable.
