Did We Really Drink the Same Kool-Aid? January 19, 2009
Posted by Emily in : Thoughts , trackbackApparently, The grade school I attended was for the “gifted and talented.” The following is a list of some of my friends who followed their dreams; who focused on developing their talents and sharing them with the world.
Natalie Hill: (you can also find her personal blog on my blogroll) Starred in Grease on Broadway
Jake Black: Professional writer. Part of Writers Guild of America. Writes for Smallville, Heroes, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and several others.
Heather Herrick : Writer. Published in the book “The Mother in Me.”
Guard Young: Olympian: Part of the 2004 USA Gymnastic team.
Lindsay Storrs: (you can also find her personal blog on my blogroll) Meteorologist. You can see her on Channel 2 in Utah every weekend.
From time to time,I have wondered, did we really drink the same Kool-Aid at Cascade Elementary School? Eat the same Butterfinger bars? Play on the same playground and have Mr. Poui as our fourth grade teacher?
One of my resolutions this year is to be a better me. To be better at whatever it is that I do.
Ahem.
When I figure that out, (you know, when I find my “X” factor) I’ll let you know.
Until then, back to mediocrity!

Ok, you are FAR from mediocre. When you first commented on my blog, I thought, “Who is this amazingly gorgeous woman, who is an author commenting on MY blog? What does she want with me?” True story. You are awesome.

Hey! Haha! I’m am laughing histerically right now! All growing up, I wanted to BE Emily Probst! You are just so beautiful & nice to everyone you come in contact with! Don’t sell yourself short gal! You ran a successful bridal shop for I don’t know how many years, you were Mrs. Texas (and several other titles as well, I believe), you supported your husband through medical school on a small island in the Carribean, & you are a wonderful mom to your kids! I should be asking the question about whether or not we drank the same cool aid! Loves…
Just visiting from Mormon Mommy Bloggers. I love your photography! What kind of camera do you use? Is that a weird thing to ask a stranger? I love that one of your son and the dog photo too. One of my resolutions is to become a better photographer so I love perusing others who are obviously really good.
