The Noise in My Head September 27, 2008

Posted by Emily in : Daily Life, Little Man Dallin, My Handsome Husband, Thoughts , trackback

There is so much noise in my head.  My thoughts are clouded and my vision is blurry.  My condition is directly related to my high maintenance child and my new work out program that often doesn’t get started until 10:00 PM.  My body is physically tired and achy, and emotionally spent.  Tonight, I met a lady with a three month old baby boy.  (I was sans Dallin.) Her baby was sleeping in her arms.  IN HER ARMS PEOPLE.  When her baby woke up, he smiled, and then went BACK TO SLEEP, IN HER ARMS.  I’m still scratchin’ my head over this scene.  I was all, WOW.  BABIES CAN DO THAT?  My mind immediately envisioned David at home WEARING Dallin in the Snugli, bouncing on the exercise ball.  Up and down, up and down.  I’m getting dizzy just thinking about it.

I have so much I want to write about, but I can’t seem to chisel out enough time to do it.  When I do take the time to actually sit down and write a few coherent thoughts, I draw a blank.  What I really want to do is TAKE A NAP, and GET A PEDICURE.  Maybe I’ll just sit down a read my new book that FINALLY arrived yesterday after ordering it three weeks ago.  (Hello?  Am I still on Saba or something?)  It’s Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing
In my free time I like to read instrucions, textbooks, and owners manuels.  My husband has rubbed off on me and now I am officially a NERD.

Let’s hope I can think clearly tomorrow.

HELP.

I like to download the free Grammar Girl podcasts on iTunes every week. Good stuff.

That is funny- because I too did the exercise ball thing to try and keep Tristan from crying. I usually took to it after I was going to fall over faint from the “up” and “down” motion of my legs hour after hour. The ball was a nice relief.
Hang in there!
