Christmas in August August 2, 2008
Posted by Emily in : Daily Life, My Handsome Husband , trackbackIt’s like Christmas all over the world today. The new Twilight book comes out today, and let me tell you, I AM EXCITED! Like the good wife that I am, I sent David to fetch me a copy of this book this morning. EIGHT WHOLE HOURS after its release time. (On a side note, David DID OFFER to go get the book for me at 1:00 AM when I was feeding Dallin, but I told him my sleep was too important and I could wait until morning.)
And do you know what makes me so happy about having the book released today? Because David is playing in a golf tournament this morning, which means that I GET TO READ THE BOOK FIRST. In the past, when other great books have been released (like Harry Potter) we have had to share one book (more like fight over one book) or get two copies so we can read it at the same time because how could you wait another week to read such good literature?
I have now officially “outed” my husband as a Twilight fan. Hey, it’s true. And you know what? I love that I can talk to my husband about how much I love Edward. And it’s not weird. And he doesn’t feel threatened.
Gotta go start my book.

Haha! My husband is a Twilight fan too! He wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so he read them & now he’s addicted! I preordered my book from Amazon…still waiting for it to come! Not that I’m bitter or anything!
I just finished eclipse today, and no Chris will never understand why my heart has split for Jacob. Can’t wait to start the next book. Anyway, you always make me laugh. Every time I read your blog, I imagine you saying it and it’s fast and funny and I can just feel your energy through the screen. You are so great!
Lindsay, I hope your book has come by now! My husband was glad to find out he wasn’t the only “man fan” of the Twilight series. How are you and the little one? I love how darling his face is with that gigantic sized pacifier in his mouth. TOO CUTE!
Lacy, I’m glad you enjoy reading my blog! I especially like the part where you imagine me talking really fast . . . does that mean you speed read it?
Loved Breaking Dawn by the way. It certainly doesn’t disappoint.
